kagaya 加賀谷穰畢業於日本東京設計學院美術設計專業，其畢業大作--全星座繪畫《Fantastic Starry Night》獲同校優秀畢業作品大賞，這些作品在準確刻畫星際位 置的同時，更描繪出對宇宙魅力的無限幻想。後來製作成明信片，十分暢銷，這應該是KAGAYA成功的開始。
1991年KAGAYA便嘗試使用電腦繪製草稿和畫面構圖，1995年就全部用電腦作業，創造了繪畫領域劃時代的"數字繪畫"技法。其作品畫面極度細緻，清澈浩淼的星空、輕舞飛 揚的花瓣、不食人間煙火的星之女神……這一切純淨而美好的幻想構築了一個新的世界，天堂般美麗。談到他的作品，KAGAYA說他最喜歡表現的主題是人類、地球、宇宙、夢 幻和憧憬，因為無論國籍還是人種，這些東西都是全人類所共通的。神秘莫測的宇宙賦予了KAGAYA無限的想像空間，也讓漫迷們獲得了一次又一次視覺饗宴。
